Elevator Pitch #2

Most of the feedback I received was positive and made me think my idea was implementable in the future if I chose to pursue it. The feedback that I mainly received was about my focus on the UF student community. Something I didn't think about that someone mentioned was that its often not easy to just build a new garage for more cars.

The first change I implemented in this pitch was that I didn't mention the health benefits because students mainly care more about the service and less about the health benefits. The second change I made was that I continued to highlight the service, but I shifted my focus more to the UF student community than to the city of Gainesville like I did in my last pitch.

  1. Hey Walter,

I like your idea of getting bikes at campus to use around the city. I think we can all agree that the parking at UF can be ridiculous sometimes. I liked your elevator pitch as well. I think to improve the pitch you should explain the benefits of the company more because the pitch seemed a bit vague to me. Other than that I think you did a really good job. My pitch’s topic is different to yours. In my pitch, I discuss my clothing company that caters from really small to really large sizes.

  2. Hey Walter! I really love this idea! It's super convenient and if you make it at the right price, students will be lining up like crazy. For this idea, I think it'll also be cool to implement monthly or yearly passes for bike renting, so students don't have to pay every time. But overall, good job!

  3. Hey Walter! I think you did really well on your pitch. The only think I would note is that maybe you could have explained the concept a little better, I was not fully sold on it as it was a bit of a vague explanation. However, I like your plan of getting bikes on campus that could be rented and used to travel around Gainesville. Parking is one of the biggest issues here at UF and any way we could fix this issue would be extremely helpful to students and staff. As for your pitch, just work on your presentation and ability to market your product and I think this could definitely take off! If you can, please take a second and check out my blog:

  4. Hi Walter, really good job on the pitch. I think you sound very natural and your pitch is dynamic. You could do a little bit more explaining because the idea is a little bit vague. My idea also touches on the parking situation so if you have time, check out my pitch at http://janswitkowski.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no-2.html
